Sarra Malik reached out for an offer for a remote project management role and offered paid training at 36/hr with no interview and formal application submitted on my end. Seemed fishy so I didn’t move forward but the training contract also looked very elementary and the website has typos that indicate this was a scam to steal identities and money. She requested I send them a passport copy or drivers license to verify my ID but seemed odd to just send it over email instead of an application platform so I refused. She then spoke with me over the phone and said I could just sign the pre-training contract with no ID sent over and they would pay me for training, which again seemed unusual to ask my routing information with no option to send a check for payment. I then asked for her LinkedIn profile which she said she would send me and quickly tried to end the call. Never received her profile as this was clearly a scam preying on job seekers.
