This business has been scamming people across the country for years. The main operator is “Jamal Hall”. The broker company will initially give you a good price and approve all of the items you list that will be in the moving truck. They then give you very quick moving date And ask you to pay a deposit does equal 1/2 of the original agreed cost. It will only except checks or electronic money transfers or cash app as form of payment. They never show up on the scheduled move date and do not communicate nor make contact to reschedule moving date. They also will not refund your deposit when they don’t show up. When the movers finally show up Weeks later they will be in a rented moving truck such as a U-Haul not a commercial moving truck. Jamal well now pretend to be a separate business from the moving broker company and present himself as the moving company “five star Movers”or “Hall of Fame Movers” he will load a few small items on to the rented truck & suddenly stop & demand that you now pay him extra money, without making any sort of actual measurement, he will claim that you made an error on the square footage And there’s additional items you didn’t list Will refuse to move any more of your belongings if you don’t immediately pay him three times the original agreed-upon amount. He then will tell you he’ll be delivering your belongings in a few days but Jamal will either not show up at all and steal your belongings and your money or he’ll show up weeks late and again demand you pay him more money or he won’t unload the truck. If you don’t pay him another additional charge he will take your belongings to one of the mini storage units he has with across the United States and you’ll never see your belongings again. He has completed the scam hundreds of times and always uses the same plan of asking for more money and holding your belongings hostage or refusing to move them. He also severely damaged a little bit of items he actually did load on the truck and was demeaning and threatening towards me and called me derogatory names in my own home when I questioned again the extra money. He has a warrant for his arrest in the state of North Carolina as well as failure to appear in court on charges of fraud & several other things
