Last week I ordered a OBD2 sensor, as they were running ads for S19.99. I sent them an email asking if it requires subscription which was also advertised for $69.99. In response they wrote that no subscription is required. All I needed, was to download their application which is free, and it will do the job. I ordered it. Unfortunately before I even receive it in the mail, an account was created and a subscription was added and I will charged on 2/23 unless I cancel it. I tried to call, but no phone number on any of the emails I received from them. I wrote to them two or three emails but no response. On Monday 2/20/2023 I searched the internet to either find a number to call or file a complaint. I searched “FixD complaints”, and a number came up saying fixd customer support. So, I called that number, and a man answered and asked him if ‘this is the company that sells fixd sensors? He said yes, and told him what happened and I want to subscription canceled and the item returned. He said no problem. What is your order number? I told him. Then he asked if it was credit or debit card. I answered credit. He said I will now connect you to the billing department to cancel the subscription and refund you. As he asked me to hold, something began to happen on my laptop screen. I asked him, if he is doing something with my computer, he said no, it is the billing department working to refund me. I did doubt the process and immediately I told him that this is a strange and must stop. He said trust me we are not doing anything to your computer, your screen will return to normal and that his name is Lewis Franco and his office is in San Jose, CA. and my screen returned to normal. He told me that I will get two e-mail from them, one cancelling the subscription, and another to send me a return label to send back the sensor. And hung up immediately.

I was suspicious of the whole process, and a couple minutes later, I received an email from my credit card stating that my credit card was declined. This confirmed that something was wrong. I call the credit card, and I was told that there attempts were made, two declined and one is pending and I need to call back when the pending goes through the system and appears on my account. I called the local police and an officer stopped by and I reported what happened to him, and he confirmed that my computer was compromised and it is fraud. About 20 minutes later after the incident, I received 2 email message, one for cancelling the subscription, and another for a label to return the sensor. I have not opened them but did not click on any links, or respond to them as I am not sure who send them, the fraud guy or company if there is a real company.
