I was told i was approved for a 5,000 loan and they work with private lenders that are willing to work with people with poor credit. I was told due to my credit score i had to pay a 585.00 collateral fee or get a cosigner. We communicated through email and phone. 9/8/23 we finalized on the loan. Megan rivers told me the money would be in my acct that same day. I never received the funds. We spoke on a monday. She told me something happened to my credit score and i had to pay an additional 585.00. I tried calling her and emailing her no response. The last email i received from her was 9/13/23. Now, the website or phone number doesn't work. I believe i was scammed. The loan company is non existent and the adress is a parking garage address. She also offered me and refund and said it would take 25-30 business days to get my money back. I haven heard from megan rivers in a month and half. I plan on filing a police report. I also have our emails and the money gram receipt.

Initially i recieved a voicemail stating that i was approved for a 5,000 loan. She said her name was megan rivers and left her contact information. We then began to communicate through email. She told me her company worked with private lenders for people with poor credit. I was told the conditions of the loan. My first option would be to get a cosigner and the second option would be to pay a 585.00 collateral fee. Which be towards the principle of the loan. I was told that once i paid the money i would receive the funds. 9/8/23 we finalized on the loan. I was told to electronically send the money through money gram. After the money was sent. Which was to another country. ( quebec, canada) i suppose thats where the lender was located. I was told i would receive the money the same day. I never received the funds. A few days later which was on a monday. I was told I had to send another 585.00 due to my credit score change. She offered me a refund and told me it would take 25-30 business days to receive my money. I tried calling, left several voice-mails no response. I recently tried to contact megan rivers again and the website no longer works nor does the number. I believe i was scammed out of 500.00 and the loan company is a total fraud. I want my money back and i also i have all of our emails and i still have a copy of the money gram receipt. I need help in resolving this matter.

I received a phone call as well as an email advising I was approved for a loan in the amount of 5000. I made to payments on le on Thursday in the amount of 580 and was ask to make another payment of 585 to receive my loan within the hour. I made the last payment on Friday morning. Megan called me and said I should have everything by 1:30. She the proceed to call back and said the person picking up the loan was in an accident and that I can cancel the appointment, I’ve reached out via email as well as a phone call today 8/14
