I was contacted via text message from a woman who said she was from Flatiron Health. She told me I was selected for a Data Analyst position with Flatiron who specializes in Oncology. After just losing a loved one to Cancer I thought it was meant to be. I was them told to download an App called called Signal Private Messenger for my text interview. I was then contacted via text from another woman from Flatiron's Human Resources for my immediate interview. After being asked approximately 15 messages via text on Signal Private Messenger I was told I would know if I was chosen to be an employee the next day. That next day was today, 9/13/22, I was chosen to be an employee and next, they asked for my bank info since their courier service was falling behind, to pay for their computer equipment in advance and that I would be electronically reimbursed. I did not provide that information and stated I was uncomfortable in doing so. I was then told the equipment will be shipped and labeled under my name and that I would be liable to pay as it would end up as mine within the year anyway. After this I stopped. I contacted the NJ Better Business Bureau of NJ and was told that neither phone # was legitimate. I removed the Signal Private Messenger App from my phone and called the Legitimate Flatiron Health Company located in NYC to let them know what happened to me via voicemail so they're aware of the situation.
