Contacted by email, offered employment, answered a series of questions, send an offer letter, w4, direct deposit form and a paper check via email for me to mobile deposit today 2/20/2024. Supposedly when the check clears tomorrow I am to go buy software for the apple computer he is going to send me. I started researching and realize I have been scammed and I am sick. Contacting my back to make sure none of my money is taken out.

Koneru Dhanunjaya Lakshman is probably the name of the scammer

I received an offer letter but instead of my name, it had the above mentioned person's name. The company the offer letter was from was incorrect as well. Overall I should have seen this was a scam but this individual might have slipped as well by leaving their name on a phony document.
