On 12/17/2023, I attempted to book a flight through American Airlines and a Foggyfly pop-up window showed a discount to buy airlines tickets within 15 minutes at a discounted rate and before the discount expired. After I entered my credit card information, I went on to the Foggyfly website to make sure all was in order. According to the reviews I saw after the fact, some stated they are a scam as they call requesting additional money after you complete the transaction. Two hours later, I received a call stating there was a "glitch" (their words) with my reservation so I called back and I was told that I needed to pay more money to get a seat assigned. When I spoke with customer service, they transferred me multiple times and each time rang as if it were an international call. The customer service representative told me that if I compared their new price instead of the discounted rate of $439.60, they were quoting me to the American Airlines flight, that theirs was less expensive. The new rate I was quoted was over $1,000 dollars. This was not true. I had the American Airlines' website open and could see the FoggyFly quote was much higher. They attempted to pressure me to give them the money they quoted to save my seat and I refused. They hung up on me and I called my bank immediately to stop any payment.
