My parents contacted this "breeder" to purchase a puppy. After they did their research and much deliberation they went ahead and paid the $750 adoption fee via Zelle. Seeing that they were less than 8 hours from this "breeder" they offered to come pick up the puppy rather than have it sent by a "private pet handler". However, the "breeder" stated they could not pick up the puppy due to COVID restrictions in Colorado. At which time, my parents then were told to send another $1,000 for shipping, which they did. Once that was confirmed, they were told they needed another $2,500 for insurance all of which was refundable. After they sent the money, the "breeder/pet transport" stated the puppy missed it's flight and was flown to another state and they would need an additional $4,500 to ship the dog. This is when my parents stopped payments and got the authorities involved.
