letter states a "permanent life insurance policy for a possible relative left $9,870,000.00 and they were unsuccessful to find relatives ... It goes on to say that he ( Harry Peterson) wish to point out that he wants 10% of the money to be shared to charity organizations and the balance of 90% will be shared between us. 100% risk free. the claim requires high level of confidentiality and may take up to 30 business days

I received a letter in the mail from a "law firm" stating that I was an heir to someone with my last name.

Obviously, a scam. I didn't respond.

I googled the law firm's name and the first hits were the FTC & the BBB, so I'm submitting it here.
