I was contacted by a person claiming to know me in October of 2023. They stroke up a friendship and trust with me on WhatsApp before asking me about my investments. I told him my stocks were currently doing terrible and that I was losing money. This person then told me he could help me make back my stock losses and more by first selling my stocks and investing in Crypto with him and he was an expert and have made lots of money with his trades. First he convinced me to sell take a loss on my stocks and use it to invest with him instead. He guided me to an app called Forex5/StarTrader. Then guided me to opening crypto exchange accounts such as Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, and Coinbase so that I can wire money to those accounts and transfer the wired money into my new Forex5 account. First the trades were doing extremely well and I had originally only invested $40,000 which grew pretty quickly. Then he told me there would be some larger trade profits coming up but I would need to fund more money into my Forex5 account. I told him that I did not have any money left so he told me I could take out a loan on the Forex5 app, personal loan, a 401k loan, and use my CDs, high yield savings money, and Ibond investment to make this large deal work. Unfortunately, it seemed very lucrative as I have made lots of money so I made the mistake of trusting this person and listening to him and took out my savings, 401k loans, personal loans and even from my credit cards, totaling $110,000 of my own money. The trade was successful and I made another $300,000. However, after this last deal I was told that I needed to payback the Forex5 loan before I could withdraw any money from my account. I paid off my loan per their instructions to the platform’s dedicated loan repayment. address: ****************************************** Once I made this payment they confirmed it was paid off and I would receive a loan settlement note in my email within 24 hours. Once 24 hours passed I received no such email. I reached back out to their customer support then they told me that my account funds has been frozen as it is under review by the Global Currency Regulatory Authority (GCRA). I did some research and there was no such agency. I reached back out stating that and demanded they unfroze my account and allowed me to withdraw my funds or I would report them to the FBI, FTC, and others. They then kicked me out of my account and it now states when I try to log in that my account has been canceled or disabled. I also tried to contacted the scammer on WhatsApp and there has been zero response from the criminal once they had taken all of my money. I have message chains from this criminal, messages from the Forex5 support team, and screen shots of all of my deposits, transactions, and trades within this account that I may send in for the investigation. I hope that you will be able to catch these scammers bring them to justice and I hope I can recover some of not all of my money from these criminals. Please help!
