I am an avid product tester online with a lot of legitimate companies. I signed up for to test products from a reputable company and was notified that I was accepted as a survey product tester from Forrester Research, Survey. Aware of scammers I was skeptical about them. Then a week later I received a delivery from FedEx and it had this letter and a check for $2400 already a warning sign. I researched the location to verify that it was a real company that the check was issued from which was not the company that asked me to do the survey and all was legit companies, I even ran the surveying company through the ScamPulse.com site to see what came up and nothing. So I took it to my bank so they could help me in verifying the check and low and behold a scam. But during the whole time I received text messages from this so called company, telling me step by step what to do and this is what was done.

Just wanted to report then because Forrester is an actual reputable company but does not do surveys.......

I received a text from Forrester Research and I agreed to receive the information: on 12.24.2019 received letter with instructions and check for $2,250.00 from Bay Atlantic FCU in Vineland New Jersey. No company information on the check. Check signed by Keith W Bradley or Bradbury - difficult to read ?

I reviewed the letter and instructions - when instructed to purchase debit cards & copy front & back and email or text only. This made me feel uneasy & I checked ScamPulse.com & scammers by name & found the information with the name Forrester.

I am thankful for having enough sense to check for scams!

The scammer sent a letter and fake check as payment for me to buy Visa / gift cards. The check at first cleared and later was declared counterfeit by the bank.

The instructions were to buy the cards at Walmart and CVS, then do a survey about these store. The scammer asked me to send a picture of the receipt and cards to show that I had used the money to buy them. The scammer then was able to use the cards for purchase. When i checked with the bank only to find out the check fake. So lost my money I used to buy 2 cards. I did not send pictures of the next 2 card because by then i realized it was a scam. The scammer sent me several texts trying to convince me that my money would be refunded at a later time. I did not respond to the requests, but let this scammer know that I knew it was a scam. I have reported this scam to the FTC also. Even though I told the scammer that I would be reporting this scam if my money was not returned, I have not got my money back.

I received a text stating that a check was coming to me for costumer service survey. I was to deposit a check of 1,955, keeping 400 as commission, 55 for my own purchase, and then buy gift cards from eBay and Walmart. Prior to leaving the store, I was to take a picture of the cards, activate them, scratch off the pin codes. Afterward, there are a number of questions to answer about my experience making these purchases and send this information to an email address. I was suspicious of this and began to research. Since receiving this letter and check, I have received three messages from 724.862.5044 asking if I received these materials.

I saw an ad online about being a secret shopper. I thought this would be a good part-time job. I submitted my contact information and they called me a few days later saying they will mail the information. I received a check in mail and detailed instructions on what to do. I was supposed to be a secret shopper for Walmart verifying gift card purchases. I was supposed to visit a couple of Walmarts, purchase gift cards and then answer questions about the experience. Honestly, I thought it was legit because I've had an experience at Walmart where I purchased a giftcard and the sales associate then laid it next to register instead of putting in the bag or handing it to me. If I had not been paying attention, she would have kept it. I even googled Forrester Research and a work from home business website came up.

On my lunch break, I decided to take the check to a check cashing place right down the street from my job because my bank was packed and I didnt want to be late back to work. I was advised the check I received was counterfeit. I had absolutely no clue. It looked very authentic to me, even had on the check to verify authenticity to see the reverse side of the check. Now, it looks as though I AM the scammer by trying to cash a counterfeit check!! PL$, the check cashing place, kept the check and gave me copy. I attempted to call them at the number they had been texting and no one answered. The contact information that came with the check is Forrester Research, Alejandro Cautus - Task Manager 507 481 2457. The return address that was on the check that was mailed it Menachem Fine JULPERT LLC 6555 N Mozart St Chicago IL 60645-4303. I can also provide a copy of the copy of the check they gave me.
