A housing listing was created in both Zillow and a website called FortStewartHousing.com for the address 54 Perlieu Ct, 31313 Hinesville GA. The scammer goes by the name Timothy B******* and posted a fraudulent listing of a home that was intended to be rented by a military family, my finance attempted to rent the house through the individual who created the listing and because it was the same on both Zillow and the other housing website it was assumed that it was safe. The individual claiming to be the owner of the house sent over a fraudulent rental agreement and made him pay an application fee, security deposit, first month rent, and last month of rent at the same time. He is in the military and needed the housing to be close to base. The individual claiming to go by the name of Timothy said that he could move in on Feb 27th but failed to show up. When an attempt was made to contact him he said that he had a family emergency come up, and when messages again did not respond and has not responded since. After further investigation it became clear that the house in question has actually been off market for quite some time. The wire for the deposits and rent were made to a different individual by the name of Rossalind B**** who Timothy Br******* claimed to be the house owner.
