Beware of Amanda Beckman and Priscilla Pollard Posing as Being From Foundry
I was contacted via text by someone named Amanda Beckman who represents a company called Foundry. Now being the detective I am, I did look up the company name and it is legit. However, I put in Amanda Beckman's name and nothing popped up. I even did a Google search on her name and nothing related to the company came up. She emailed me saying for me to contact someone named Priscilla Pollard if I'm interested in a part-time proofreading job. She said she "found" my resume on Indeed. I did NOT apply to a job from this company neither, when I searched, did I see that this company posted a job opening. Just in case by gut feeling was wrong, I reached out to this Priscilla Pollard. She sent me job description and wanted to set up a time to talk. Something didn't sit well with me, so I did another search on Priscilla Pollard and the company. I was amazed at what I found. What I found was connection between Priscilla Pollard and another company who someone created a false account on and has been scamming, Brillio. The poor individual was scammed by Priscilla Pollard, and she even lost money due to a faulty transaction. I can go on and on, but I want to warn anyone who is in the vulnerable state of being unemployed or anyone who is desperate for supplemental income to beware of these two scammers: Amanda Beckman and Priscilla Pollard. They are going from company name to company name, and from job website to job website trying to take advantage of the honest people out there who are just trying to find employment. Please, please don't allow these people to win by falling victim to their scam.
