I received an email from someone who posed as my parish priest asking that I be discreet & get (5) $100 google play cards that he wanted to surprise staff with cards as an incentive. Once I purchased them, he wanted me to scratch off back of card & send a photo of cards. After this was done, he requested that I get (7) $200 cards. Fortunately, the Walgreens that I went to only allow me to purchase 2 cards. Computer register would not allow another purchase, thankfully. I was to go to Walgreens again this morning to purchase remaining cards. While telling this story to my daughter last night, she said this was a scam, and it was.

I now realize there were numerous signs of this being a scam, but being 70 years old, I stupidly ignored the signs.
