I downloaded a new app, Dofu. When I opened the app, a screen came up to make an account. It took me to Fraavy.com. It requested my email and card information. It said it would charge my card $49.99 after a 5 day free trial. There was fine print stating if you kept this box checked you were agreeing to a monthly subscription. I unchecked this box. Once I submitted my info, it told me there was an error. I immediately got a text from a number pretending to be my bank stating that my card had been locked and I needed to call (844) 285-5928. I verified online that this phone number is a scam and not my bank.

I was trying to find out how to get a reward certificate from Costco. I tried a day or two before and then again today (11/3/23). I would get a little ways and then another site would show up with information to fill in. I tried to call customer support from Costco, but the recording cut me off. Again I tried and a person told me she wouldn't tell me about the reward because it wasn't my account. My husband's name was on the account, but I have my own card number.. So getting nowhere with that I went to the Costco website and got into a mess there.with fraavy.. Another business name came up a couple times but I don't remember what it was. I need to call Citibank but I don't know if I will get anyone on the weekend.

On the morning of 7/28/23 I scanned the QR code on the Idaho Department of Transportation DMV registration renewal letter in order to pay my renewal without going into the DMV office. When I scanned the code, I was taken to the Idaho DMV website. I began filling out the requested information and when I submitted it, the page refreshed and was no longer completed. So, I filled it out again. This time, my social security number was requested. I thought this was odd, but since it was the DMV (a government agency) that it was okay to provide my SS number. Once I entered my credit card information in order to pay for the renewal, a new screen popped up for a company named Fraavy. On their webpage they thanked me for subscribing to their TV streaming service and advised me that I would be charged $49.99 every month for their service. They stated on that page, if I wanted to cancel the service, I should notify them of such by clicking on the box for cancellations on that webpage. I did so and the box info just kept looping. It would not let me complete any information.
At 8:37 that morning I received an email from Fraavy thanking me for subscribing to their service. I replied back "Cancel this fraudulent subscription." I have not hear back from them.
I closed my credit card and advised my credit card company of the fraud. I advised the Idah Department of Transportation, the FTC and SSA of the fraud. I put a credit freeze on my credit through Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
