Type of a scam Employment
The job involved optimizing clients' products and websites by rating their products. Every question I had was answered satisfactorily, and I was added to a chat group where everything seemed legitimate.
However, things started to take a strange turn. Initially, I was given several tasks to rate, and then I encountered a task with a negative balance. They instructed me to add funds to cover the negative balance, promising to return the amount along with a commission. At first, the amounts were small and they paid as promised.
I deposited $800 and then an additional $2,548. But then I received another negative task requiring $5,000. At this point, I realized something was wrong. This scheme preyed on my vulnerability and financial need, escalating the amounts to unreasonable levels.
I now see that this was a scam designed to exploit people in desperate situations. I asked them to return the money and they said they could not. To deposit more money and they would release my balance with high commission. I felt my money was hostage. I was overdrawn for days and now I do not have the money to cover bills and have to ask my mom for a loan. This needs to be stopped do not know what to do to get the money back.
Any help would be great.
