I was looking for a job on indeed and applied for a receptionist job for a firm and this man contacted me saying it would be a personal assistant job for now since he didn’t have an office at the moment. He said he was into *** *** and that was the main reason for him not having an office. He grabbed all of my information and said that he was going to send me a check so I can start running his errands for him. When the check arrived I deposited the check but after days of it being processed it got sent back because he cancelled the payment so I contacted him about it and he apologized saying he wasn’t sure what happened and proceeded to send me another check. Meanwhile, I got the exact same email from a completely different person named *** *** saying that he was into *** *** and he need a personal assistant, the exact same thing as the guy before just with a different name and email address. The same thing happened with the check and I told him I couldn't work for him anymore. Now I am just worried because he has my address and the rest of the information that was in my application. I took screenshots of everything just Incase.
