I put an online soliciting for my business and this number text me. He asked for my name but would not give me his until later and said "Freddie" he then asked if I would accept a cashiers check because "his lawyer told him that was the only way of paying because he has a big company" He then asked me if I had a credit card so I could instantly get paid, I told him no. He continued to send me multiple messages about his lawyer and if I was ready to work hard. Then he sent me a long text about how his secretary messed up and sent a $2,480.58 and told me to instantly take the check to my bank and deposit deducting my $185 + $50 for compensation for the inconvenience and sending the remains to his leasing agent. I went to a close family member who told me to report it now because it is a scam.

Craigslist scammer - showing legitimate interest in a vehicle I'm selling via text message. At the end of our exchange, the scammer asks me to check the website above to pull a report for him. Seems uninterested in anything else at that point. Just wants me to send him a report. Blocked him.
