On Sept. 5, 2024 I received an email stating, "Congratulations, you have won an Yeti Crossroads Backpack." "You have been chosen to participte in our Loyalty Program for FREE! We value your opinion and we would love to serve you better. Pleast take a short 4 minute survey and receive a fantastic prize. Just answer a few questions. Thank you in advance for your time and feedback. It will take you only a minute to receive this fantastic prize." Then I hit the link and it took me to a survey where I answered multiple questions about the Tractor Supply Company. Then a screen appeared with a photo of the Yeti Backpack, saying I had won. All I had to do was pay for the shipping at $9.95. I entered my credit card information and at first it was declined, but then I confirmed the purchase and what a mistake that was. After entering my information, a screen from fasttrack.online appeared saying "Your entry/monthly plan has been confirmed. Thank you and Good Luck! Keep a lookout in your inbox for your credentials to login to the number one health app as part of your entry: FitGNX. Your order id is #8105851." When I tried to click off the screen, I hit a button and my credit card was then charged $56.97. I immediately emailed the company stating I did not want any "monthly plan," and that I thought I had won a backpack. They emailed back that I "signed up" for a 5-day trial of the Fit GNX App for $9.95 and 20 "extra sweepstake entries" for $56.97. They offered me a $28.00 refund to "help with the extra charge," but that teh $9.95 was not refundable and they went ahead and canceled my "subscription." I responded, "I am declining all charges. This is a scam. Please remove me from your lists." They then emailed me back, offering to refund $40.00. I replied that I had reported them to my credit card company and to the FTC for fraud and was disputing all charges, then explained why. They replied that they would refund the full $56.97 - however, because my credit card had canceled my card for fraud protection, that credit has not appeared. I think they are afraid of being reported to you. Here is the email I was communicating with: [email protected] And here are two of the websites I was able to screen capture after initially hitting the link on their first email: 6yhit5.de.com divertworld.com My credit card company is currently investigating the disputed charges.
