STAY AWAY FROM FREEBIRD SHAVERS
My son ordered one for an xmas present and I did not like it, so I had to pay to return it. I wish there were free returns, but my son should have checked the return policy… I followed their return instructions by sending them a picture of the return via email. 7 days after the return had been confirmed by the USPS mail system, I receive a replacement blade order!?!?
I asked my son if he signed up for a shaver blade subscription and he said no. My son is 17 so he may not have seen the box to uncheck or whatever tricky way they signed him up for a subscription. However, my issue is that these companies dupe people into signing up for a subscription service and should have checked that account to stop any replacement blade order for a product that was confirmed to be returned! If anyone at Freebird had actually processed the refund, then could have checked for any subscription and reached out as a courtesy. Just bad business all around.
Here are the things I do not like about Freebird, other than the inferior shaver, which is why I am on a mission to suggest everyone stay away from this company:
There is no number to contact customer service. Customer service is only through email.
The customer service only sends pre-populated emails to select emails sent , not to all emails. I received ZERO replies to the emails that asked for help with the subscription / order issues or trying to find out where my son’s refund is.
When I tried to canceled my son’s subscription, there were 2-3 “wait don’t cancel, here is a special offer” popups that you had to click “No Thanks” to.
When I got the return email, there was a “wait don’t return” offer that only required an email reply for a 50% refund.
The company is basically duping people into buying this shaver by offering specials and hedging any returns by offering 50% refunds NOT TO RETURN THEM and trying to avoid subscription cancellation by offering 50% refunds NOT TO CANCEL!?!?
I now have to pay more money to return this replacement shaver blade and I have to dispute the charges with my bank for the returned shaver and the replacement order because I no ZERO faith that this company will honor their refund policy, even though I followed the exact return instructions.
WHAT COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT DO THESE TINGS?

Freebird was running a sale that I saw via an Instagram ad. I paid for a shaving kit and received it 12/15/23. On 1/19/24 at 2:27am, I received a purchase confirmation email from Freebird. I never reordered anything from Freebird after the 12/9/23 purchase and never authorized them to take another payment after 12/9/23 or for my account to be put on auto-pay for any reason. I contacted my bank and although I have an email from Paypal saying $26.44 was used from my checking account to purchase a replacement shaver from Freebird, it was suggested that after I see the pending/posted $26.44 on my account, than I can contact my bank's fraud/scam department.
