I was called by phone from Allen Seo and was told they Freedomlrs can help with school loan debt. Promised us that my son qualified for loan forgiveness after a certain time.our representative said we need to pay $184.00 a month for 5 months then after that payment goes to 39.00 a month for 5 months then zero payments after that. The rest of the loan is forgiven. I find out 3 months later that it’s all a scam. The federal student loans do not use 3rd party loans ever. Needless to say I had to go to my bank to get a new debit card. Problem is I like the gal said earlier they have all my sons information. They got it from his tax return. Now what? I’m devastated!

I was contacted by the number (202) 978-9967 about loan forgiveness & guaranteed that my federal loans would be forgiven. I followed on the phone as they asked for my myfedloan account information, how much money I owed, and they asked for my bank account & routing number so they could charge me a recurring fee for 6 months at $224, then 60 months at $39, and made me sign a contract again with the promise of loan forgiveness. MyFedLoan sent an email saying my account was past due and when I called, they said no application had been sent on my behalf. I realized this external party known as FreedomLRS was just making false promises and charging me a service that the Department of Education offers for free. I sent them an email (Allen Seo is who I spoke with) saying that I was going to report them to FTC and also consider my contract NULL. I expect to be paid back the $224 and also no longer be charged anything moving forward.

I appreciate your help! People like this need to stop taking advantage of people already in debt.
