I was job hunting and they posed as a company that looked like the perfect job for me. It was a medical Data Entry job that I could do for minimal hours a week. They actually let me do research and google them and call my bank and they were easy to talk to, but professional. But some of the details of the job description didn't actually line up with what they were telling me. Different hours, different pay amounts (VERY minimal differences, but as someone in Data Entry, I noticed). They wanted to send me the money so I could deposit it VIA emailed check, keep the $200 sign on bonus and then order my computer and things I would need to work at home with the rest. The accounting person was very specific on how I should handle the check, and to make sure I deposited it, and please respond to make sure I got it, etc. But then I searched up the name, the address, and the bank that were printed on the check and I knew it wasn't legit.
