Received an interview invitation for a remote customer service rep job from the domain @freseniusco.com. I've applied for so many jobs on Indeed I can't keep track so accepted it. Interviewed with MS Teams and thought it was odd he was using @gmail.com and only used text chat, no video. Immediately hired me and moved me up to Administrative Executive position with a five person team below me which didn't surprise me because I'm totally bad [censored]! Started training the next morning and luckily I couldn't find my bank account number or passport that he requested with a DocuSign document from the domain @freseniususa.com for auto-deposit, ID and job acceptance so he allowed me to return it later. Worked on the training until he asked me to open a Verizon account and order five phones for the team which triggered me because corporations of this size use IT for that not a personal employee account. Called the main number 888-373-1470 to check if they knew the doctor but they couldn't find his name in their system. He was super nice until I started discussing this with him then he started getting aggressive. He said he's not in the corporate system because he's on the supervisor board which is ridiculous because board members don't interview and hire people. I asked him for HR number.
He told me to get it from the website. Couldn't find it so got it from the main number 855-362-6247. They had no record of me applying or being hired with the company and suggested it's a scam because this isn't their hiring process. Told him and he got more pushy, more excuses and said he'd sort it out. Thanked him and said I'm excited to start work when it's sorted out. Disconnected everything in case he's hacking me. Did virus scans and put up VPNs but my safe was safe. Ran whois queries on the domain names which came back private and registered with cheap value domain hosts which big corp wouldn't use.

I lucked out. Could have been really bad!

I was offered a customer representative at home job I did a interview and the next day was told I was hired later they said that I needed to deposit $100 apple gift card and today they said a $300 apple gift card at this point I found it very suspicious that this so-called job offer would be asking the hire for money do not be a victim of this type of scam. Any real job offer will not expect you to pay out of your own pocket.

I received a text from a Sonia M. Wenzel (who I looked up and works as Employee relations at Fresenius), after applying to an add on LinkedIn for a remote position that was posted by a Recruitment agency. The add did not say Fresenius, but had the same description as what they sent me so I assume this was where they got my number. She gave me some vague info and sent me to a Zoom meeting for job briefing/interview. On Zoom I spoke to Jeffery Fisher (also works at Fresenius as H.R.), who said the interview will be via chat due to handling several applicants at once. This sent up a small flag for me, but also makes sense given today's times and oh how they change. We talked for THREE HOURS about the position, benefits, background about the company and his bosses, etc etc. He even had me "hold" 2 times throughout the conversation while he spoke to other departments. He ended up telling me I got the job, and sent me an employment offer letter to print, sign, scan and send back. I did, then he told me the company pays for any home office needs and will send me a check that I would use to buy what I need through their verified vendor, then of course send back what I don't use. Dummy me, I mobile deposited the check before I realized this is a scam. Thankfully, my bank did not fall for it and denied the fraudulent charge. What would happen is the bank doesn't realize, pushes it through, you spend money and several days later the check bounces leaving you with the bill.
* I did end up calling Fresenius and FYI, to apply for the real company you need to apply through their website and ANY EMAILS AFFILIATED WITH THE COMPANY WILL HAVE THE COMPANY DOMAIN. (example: [email protected])*
I thought I was extra vigilant and knew what to watch for but they are getting ridiculously smart! They did not even ask for personal info other than my name, address (which was on the resume they already had), and the name of my bank. No account info whatsoever. Be safe!

I received an email from [email protected] stating that they had short-listed me for the position of Data Entry/Customer Service Rep telecommute position and asked that I add my interview manager Kim Sonnen ([email protected] on Google Hangouts. Once I did this they went through a number of questions and then offered me the position. They sent me a check in the amount of $3,450.20 sent from Dan L Petersen in IL. When you look this up it is a transit/trucking company. The check looks legit. Then "Kim Sonnen" told me to hold it and keep it safe. I would be giving that to my supervisor. She said that she would be sending me my start up funds to get my lap top, fax, printer and sent me a usps tracking number. I have not received the start up funds and I started asking questions and she stopped communicating with me. I called Fresenius and found out that this is a scam. They are using names of people that do work for the company and doing their research so they seem very legit. Except for the fact that they do not give company emails and they don't give phone numbers.

The scammer invited me for an interview on google hangouts. Claimed to be with Work At Home, using William P. Johnston as his identity. He interviewed me for a work at home job, data entry/customer service, and told me to come back the next morning to find out if I was hired. He said I was hired and then told me the company was going to send me a check that was to be deposited in to my bank account, and then used to buy my working materials. He also put me in contact with my "supervisor", named Detlef Prangenberg. I did not give them my bank account information. They sent me what was supposed to be a letter of employment. They also gave me "pretraining tasks" to keep me busy and make me think this job was legit. When I started to ask more questions about what was going on, they quit emailing me back.
