I looked for housing on pretty much every website and stumbled across one on craigslist. I was already skeptical because it was craigslist but i gave it a chance anyway. I did the survey and gave them a call and someone actually answered the phone. I was fooled by their genuine approach and the key details they gave me which made it seem legit. They will manipulate into thinking that getting a house with them is often times difficult and that you need to make split second decisions. I first sent $172 for the application fee, then another $585 for the initial deposit, and then another $300 the next day because the guy said that “he went home early and didnt process the payment so his system put our application into default”. After that phone call I scheduled a call with him at 4pm later that day and he never called or answered. After trying to contact him for the last couple of days I realized I’ve been scammed and my money has been stolen.
