I called to inquire about home internet but the recording instru tedme to go online to their 24/7 chat line. I start chatting about what I needed and Angel gave his recommendation as to data and speed. He then said there was an $85 install to be paid before it could be scheduled. He took my ss#, my address, my phone #, my email, and then said he would put me on a secure line for payment. I told him I would need to have an alternative because I'm not comfortable in today's world and the scammers that are out there. He agreed and said I could put the money on a prepaid card and told me where to buy one, it was a local convenient store. So I did but thought incase there were other fees ill put $170 on just to be on the safe side. I got home jumped back on chat and chatted with "John" who was of a middle eastern culture. He asked for the order number and repeated some info back to me and it was all correct. I gave him the card # and he said the "engineer" would be calling me Monday morning as this was Saturday morning and no techs were available on the weekends. Before I clicked off he told me I needed to confirm my Identity and said I need to go to www.Frontier.com/confirmme and download a format fill it out and email it back to the Frontierinternet.com. we were done and I started doing housework and remembered that I need that form before an install would be scheduled but it wouldn't work right for me or my husband so I chatted again but didn't get their name. He, or she asked for my order # and I typed it out made sure it was correct and hit send but the agent couldn't find one thing about my order and asked for name, address and still couldn't find it. I wasn't happy but I thought mistakes happen they just forgot to save it and the present agent assured me he was the one that would save the day, so I Gabe him all my info again and when the deposit come up he assured me if I give him the. And number he would reverse charges and for some strange one in a million chance it didn't reverse Frontier would just credit my account and it would come off the first month's bill, but he needed another deposit since that first one couldn't be fond, and I gave it to him. My daughter heard about all this and smelled a scam right away, so I found and "official" Frontier website so I called and it sounded dedicated like the real deal with its recordings talking about the ACP program and all. Then a middle eastern sou ding woman came on the line e with a voice and demeanor that was not for customer service. My daughter gave .y prder number and she had nothing on me for Frontier we instructed her that we had been scammed and said she said for us to call back Monday we hung up and when we did it said on my pho e that that number would not Co tact us again, we had been blocked. So that's 2 different Frontier websites, a chat forum, and 2 different numbers all Frontier. I think Frontier needs to monitor their websites a little closer in the future and I would sure like to get my money-back but idk about that. Here's the second number I used. 800-921-8102

I received an authentic appearing email from a scammer posing as my internet provider “Frontier.com". The message requested that I verify my voicemail password or update it. The Frontier.com security department confirmed that the email was a phishing scam.

I received a text message stating “ This is Mr, Truman Armstrong from Frontier Communication, I reviewed your resume for our openings, I wanted to follow up and let you know that I would love to find time to interview you.” I was then told to interview with Julia Walters through a hangout app. She conducted the interview and told me she would let me know the next day if I was chosen for the position. The next day she said I was hired and I received an email from [email protected]. The email contained attachments in pdf form such as a w-4 tax form and offer letter. She asked me to get an itunes card in the amount of $100 and send the pictures to her. She said it would be reimbursed to me on Monday through my bank app. After reading all the scams here I realized that it sounded like all the other scams.
