I contacted seller about classic auto for sale which I found on Trovit. Seller was purported to be Chuck Carlson, email [email protected]. He confirmed auto was available and wanted to use escrow service of Frontline Auto so we would both be protected from fraud. I had right of approval/disapproval on car which was to be shipped to me after payment was received by Frontline. Everything about checked out, reviews good, documents looked professional, all seemed legitimate. Carlson instructed me to go to the website, open an account and start the transaction. I wired the money on 7-3-2019 to a well known CA bank. I sent a copy of the wire to Frontline, a Steve Acker and he said said shipping would be arranged, and the car would arrive here in TX on 7-23-2019. When it did not arrive, I contacted both Carlson the Seller by email and Frontline Sales Mgr Steve Acker by email and phone several times. No response, the phone rolled to voicemail. They scammed me for $12K. Do not deal with this company, it is fraudulent, even though it looks very real and checks out okay. Steve Acker has a heavy middle east accent and is very responsive until he has your money. Fraud and scam, beware!

While looking for a classic American muscle car for the late 1960's or early 1970's, found a posting on cars.Trovit.com for the a vehicle that fix my search criteria. Posting said for sale by owner; gave a great description of the vehicle and included the vehicle VIN (9F02Q132424). The VIN number matched the picture of the vehicle and so when Brad Coper ([email protected]), the supposed owner, contacted me, directed me to Frontline Auto Sales to "protech both of us in this transaction." All this sounds good. The price for the car was inline with market trends and Frontline Auto Sales seemed legitimate / professional. Only after payment was made did the scam become apparent and further investigate lead to the discovery that the website was from Nassau Bahamas.
