I received a call the person said they were going to help with Loan forgiveness and/or payment reduction plan. She said she was going to send me a code using my phone number. I stupidly gave them the code that was sent to my phone from Federal Student Aid-without realizing it was from FSA. I was then transferred to a manager...he then spent some time reviewing my information, he asked if my student loan repayment company had informed me that I didn't need to pay my loan right now insulating due to COVID-19. Then he said there was going to be a small fee from submitting my claim. Thats when I asked him what claim he was talking about and where he was from. It seemed that I knew more about the public service loan forgiveness program than he did. He said he was from DocuPros-I immediately responded that the previous person I had talked to said she was from the FSA and had misrepresented herself to gain private information. He indignantly said he was from DoucPros in CA and had not misled me. I said that they had misrepresented themselves and had access to my private information, I wanted to know his name and he hung up on me.
