Scammer used an old friend to become friends with me on facebook. Then about a day later sent a message via facebook messenger from this old friend asking how i am and if i've heard of a new program called the FSG (Family Support Grant).

I knew it was a scam then, as this friend would never do that. Googled it and there have been similar scams. I did not fall for it.

Ok, first of all they are pretending to be my cousin in her Messenger Profile. They pretended to be my cousin asking me had I heard of the FSG, Family Support Group. Then they explained what group of people they were helping. Thinking im talking to my cousin, I asked them to send me her phone no. to call her and the no. that was sent to me was ************. Thats weird, we live in St. Louis. Then a link was sent to me and they were pretending to be Agent Helen ******. I clicked on link, *******************************************************/

They pretended to have a claims form for me to fill out, but I couldnt click on form, they told me to just answer the questions and to send the correct answers to message. I sent all my information. Then they sent me my Ref#, then they sent a sheet showing the amount of Grants and how much I had to pay for Grants.( Now its sounding suspicious) They told me to go to CVS and get 3 Steam cards in the amount of $1050 up front. I told them i needed to speak with them to prove this is legit. They text some mess about they were on a system and couldn't talk, that i wasn't the only one they were serving. They are using my cousins Messenger Account and Agent Helen ****** *****
