This company called me initially about my resume on Indeed, the person calling was named Jessica Scott. She briefly interviewed me and told me about how this company is growing into my state. Not long after, I received a Pre-Employment Agreement with a promise of $2600 or $5400 depending on the training test scores. I was excited about this, and there were no red flags at all, so I signed with an agreement of compensation. I was assigned a training manager, Adam Zimmermann, that was very informative and attentive. He informed me that after I passed the training period, I would be invited to stay in New York for a week to be further interviewed to see where I would best fit in the company. At this time, I was training to be a Project Manager. Mr. Zimmermann told me that even though this job may "seem to good to be true," it was not because of the work that would be required to put in. He was right, because I spent everyday for weeks studying the material in order to pass the weekly test "with flying colors," as my training manager would say. On 3/2, I received the final test that covered all the material from the past 4 weeks and ended with a self-evaluation. Though the test was not due until the 9th, I sent my completed test in by the 4th. However, I had not heard from Mr. Zimmermann since 3/2 at this time. I waited until the 11th to reach out with no response. I emailed Mr. Zimmerman again on the 15th with again no response, then the 23rd, 28th, and lastly, the 31st. I also called the number given to me on 3/15 and 3/26. I spoke with my lawyer, and he informed me that there was not much that we could do outside of reporting this scam to BBB.
