Went into the Virginia Beach La-Z-Boy today and saw a floor model 5 piece Maddox sectional. The price tag said it was $5824 and the original price was $11649 so 60% off. However I was at the same store 2 weeks ago looking at that exact sectional and the price tag said it was $4999 and the original price was $10469 so 50% off. This felt extremely shady. How can the “original” price change? This is false advertising. It seemed like this was done to make it seem like a better deal advertising it as “60% off the original price” when 2 weeks ago 50% off the “original” price was a much lower number than the now 60% off the “original” price.

I am a disabled African American Virginia resident. I purchased furniture in July 2022. I paid for a warranty. The furniture began to collapse by November. I reported the item damaged to Ashley Furniture. They told me to contact the warranty division which I paid for.. The warranty division stated that it is the stores responsibility. I call the store. They send me to customer service who says they will send . For the next 3 months. I make over 20 calls to ask where is the inspector. The inspector comes in January to see the damaged furniture. He will not even sit on the furniture. I have not heard anything since. I was sold damaged furniture, a warranty that is fake. The manager Gill said it was not his problem. The female manager in November also told me it was not her problem. I just want the furniture replaced and the store to stop saying and charging individuals for a warranty that is non existant.
