Gary Hancock knocked on our front door. He said they were working on a city road paving project and had extra asphalt that was going to get wasted if they didn't use it right away. He claimed they would resurface our mile long driveway for a fraction of the cost you would typically pay ($1/sf, instead of $5-$7/sf). My husband said ok but that he had to leave and would not be home for a few hours. They said they would clean and prep the road until he was home. By the time he got back, they had already finished the work and were in a huge hurry to leave. He asked my husband to issue him 3 separate checks, totaling $24,000, in his personal name instead of his business name. Then he flew out of here in a real hurry. I got home right after and could tell immediately that they had not resurfaced the road. They had sprayed what looked like greasy spray paint down the driveway and all over the sides of the road, on plants and including our stone leading to the entry driveway. It is a horrible mess. They did not repair potholes and had just started the whole thing in the middle of the driveway so it looks ridiculous. They had actually just sprayed a sealant. Cost for this is usually $.15/sf for good work. After speaking with our bank and attorney, we cancelled the checks. He went straight to the bank and started calling every 2 minutes. He was super aggressive and threatening. Unfortunately, my husband paid him $7500 to get rid of him. Although their materials and time cost them something, it was not what they sold us, they did a horrible, sloppy job and they were trying to fraud us so I don't think they should have received anything. I want others to be warned. He rushes you to agree immediately so you don't have a chance to think about it. Don't be fooled and DO NOT use this company for any services. They are crooks!!
