Sept20'22 payroll mailed and nothing received to date/Oct4'22

This totally is unfortunate that people take the time w/their gas, time and effort to only be scammed when we could have legit been scammers ourselves and kept their valuable and high end products.I am not sure the type of products you all have/had received, however, I'd like to think apple products were enough to cover the 30dys we were scammed out of...people are mean!

This company discovered my resume on a job search site, apparently ZipRecruiter, and conducted 2 phone interviews with me. I was officially hired on July 29 and performed my first assignment with them on August 2. On August 1 I did a Google search and found that they appeared to be a legitimate company; it billed itself as a subsidiary of The Peer Group Corporation, a company based in Canada. Satisfied that I was working for a legitimate company, I proceeded to perform my duties as a Fulfillment Handler, a remote position that involved inspecting and preparing orders for online companies like Amazon. After a 30 day probation period passed, on September 6 I was told that I passed and that due to “company policy” they could only mail my first paycheck; that check was supposedly processed and mailed on the 6th. I was also told to await the results of a review that would determine if I would be permanently employed by Gabsie. On September 19 my paycheck did not arrive, so I emailed the payroll director, Morgan Capps, to express my concerns. He apologized and said another check would be mailed that day. Fast forward to October 3 and not only have I still not been paid, I’m still awaiting word on my status with this company. I have made at least 4 phone calls and sent an email wondering what’s going on, and then I’m reading reviews on other sites from people who are apparently in the same situation as I am; they got scammed by this employment deal. I have copies of the employment agreement and other information regarding Gabsie.
Scammed by a fake job

I'm in your same situation and now after a month back and forth with HR, payroll and other people never received my payment and they block me from emails and also from the CRM system...I guess we work for free those 30 days and also I don't understand I pick up 3 orders in target and they even have my info so this is a very weird situation!

This company is a scam. I worked for them for 30 days "probation period" and would get paid at the end. I received packages and reviewed them and then shipped with the carrier that was on the label that I printed. Once my 30 days were up I was no longer receiving any responses from "HR" letting me know if I was hired and "Payroll" requesting my check. I have reported this company to the fraud area of the Federal Government as well as the Better Business Bureau and I put a fraud alert on my Social Security number. I have an email from US Government wanting more information because I saved just about everything I could. My explanation was thorough and they have asked me to submit further documentation. The money I lost was buying a few supplies for the job and I lost 6 weeks of my time when I could have been looking for legit employment. My "probation" period was 8/7/2022-9/7/2022. According to my paperwork, gabsie is owned by Peer Group Corporation. I was contacted for an interview from 424-392-6271. I was contacted from my "supervisor" Lillian Carron at 213-495-1205. The "HR" person was [email protected] and the "Payroll" person was Morgan at [email protected]. Their portal to upload pictures of parcels and to get labels, chat with supervisor, employee information, etc. was Nexus-CRM.net.

I saw the position in "Indeed" and applied. I pass all the hiring process, Started work as handler Fulfilment. Received and Shipped Items. After 30 days probation, I supposed receive my paycheck that I am still waiting for 3 weeks. They gave them all my information through a W-9 to fill. Just be aware.

Apparently I applied for Gabsie but dont remember. I also fell for what seems to be a parcel mule scam. Early on I questioned the legitimacy of this position but figured it was worth a shot since I was already home. I even researched the company and found the HR person on LinkedIn. It has been 30 days and I have not been paid. The fact that I barely had work to do for a month was suspicious. When I started complaining, they brought up the legally binding contract I signed. I specifically told HR that this seems like a scam and they asked me if I wanted to be let out of my contract. When my check was supposed to be sent, I asked for a tracking number and obviously there isn't one. I'm glad I didn't provide them with my social. Scammers are working extra hard to pull one on hard working people. It's sad. Be careful and question everything.

Tara Campos after your probation period did you get paid?

They first emailed me. Then sent legitimate looking employment contract and w2 form. And the role was to receive packages check the contents and upload pictures and print a new label to ship it. Didnt receive good feedback on the legitimacy of this position. So im reporting it as a scam. Also the "HR" person is on LinkedIn. Which made it look more legitimate. Now we have to beware of Linkedin. Very unfortunate.

The HR lady and my "supervisor" were both on LinkedIn so I'm betting there are others we can annoy. maybe we can all file against them or something :P

Why what happened? They emailed me too and i went through the probation period. Did they not pay you or?
