I guess i should have mentioned the first web site i was almost duped on was STAR HOME MINI DACHSHUNDS.COM then in a later reply email, still not getting basic questions answered MANN, fake owner, says he runs DESTINYMINIDACHSHUND, with a cut and paste message of the same original message. Of course this site has a picture of the same dog, GIGI, just an older picture of the dog yet, he even further sent in a previous message an updated picture of GIGI in a star tent, maybe inbetween age of the first and last. i was trying to find out information about Gigi, he won't answer simple questions, just resends same message saying i'm Mann, owner of the dachshund home breeder site, just keeps repeating $600 plus $200 to ship via air or $280 to home, no phone number or name or pictures of parents to see by request, he keeps avoiding the questions, simple questions. Yah, it's definately a scam, all these dogs are still on the site, they'd be gone if LEGIT. He sent me a new web page he says he runs: DestinyMiniDachshunds.com with yet another older picture of GIGI on it, the cream girl. He's got all kinds of fraud websites out there. I see Destiny is flagged also. This is so unfortunate, it makes you paranoid to deal online with anyone then. BEST THING IS GO LOCAL IT'S LESS TRAUMATIC FOR THE DOG TOO, SHIPPING VIA PLANE I SAID I WOULDN'T DO THAT AGAIN, MY LITTLE STAR I GOT FROM MINNESOTA WAS TREMBLING SO BAD WHEN WE FIRST MET HER AT MANCHESTER AIRPORT, NEW HAMPSHIRE FROM MINNESOTA. Yah, i feel sorry for anyone that got hooked by this monster preying on poor people's desires.

This person is also associated with Star Home Mini Dachshunds and Life Companion Mini Dachshund. I emailed about Deone and got him to give me a phone number. Asked if he could video call to make sure it wasn’t a scam and he said he’s old fashioned and doesn’t do that. I called him and asked tons of questions. Once I asked how many breeding pairs he has, he hung up. I reported it as a scam on the BBB website

I purchased Ken for $750 ($600 for puppy and $150 for shipping) and was supposed to get delivered today (7/12/20) and they blocked my email and tried to get me to pay another $950 for “airline insurance” and i said no and haven’t heard anything back.

They like to only communicate through email their page says one thing they email another thing when you finally get to text someone more lies continue . They will avoid answering important questions they are not registered through AKC. They want you to send through western union under a different name then the ones they give out or zelle . I was so upset I fell in love with a puppy that i will never get I called them out for being a scam not one response they just blocked me .Be careful who you try to buy from what gets me is their so called business page how the dogs are like family and they want nothing but the best for these puppies and how they do this and that bit they have no problem scamming people ??

Purchased 'Ken" (a miniature Doxie) online from Gateway Dachshund, a Mr. Perrin Cole for $600.00. Was promised overnight shipping for $200.00. Next day no dog. We inquired whereabouts and was told dog given to Animal Travelers for shipping. Contacted Animal Travelers and was told 'Dog on hold pending payment of $1258.00 for insurance. Was assured by Perrin Cole this was a 'refundable' policy and I would receive a refund after the animal was delivered. Called Animal Travelers for verification and instead the call was answered by a lady in Virginia that didn't know how her number was confused with Animal travelers and that I must be calling for an Insurance Refund and that many people had been duped and the police from numerous states were investigating these embezzelments. Gateway Dachshund and Animal Travelers are in cahoots and require payment by Zelle. There is no possible refund or buyers protections by Zelle. THIS IS A RIP OFF. Perrin Cole is a crook and only has a picture of a dachshund. We have reported to our local Sheriff's office who tells us it is a scam and probably no possibility of retrieving our $800.00.
