Sara, Esthetician at Gallery 42 on 61 S Market Street, Charleston, S.C., 29407, 843-301-1217, talked me into purchasing a very expensive Red Light Therapy machine with corresponding products to the tune of over $5,000. I had Moh’s cancer surgery on my face and specifically asked her if the machine was safe for people who had previous skin cancer. She said the machine was safe for cancer patients. I got the machine home and read the instruction booklet and in a clear warning it said, “DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE HAD CANCER!” The store ignored my calls when I called to get a refund. They ignored me for over 7 days to get past the refund period. After 7 days the receipt says, “No Refunds/Exchanges only after 7 days.” Unethical scammers to take advantage of an elderly woman who just lost her husband! This matter is NOT over yet. I have reported this Unethical Scam outfit to the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company. All people who have been taken advantage of and scammed by this business should do a media blitz and SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

This is completely embarrassing to admit but I just fell victim to the worst scam and was taken for $545.00. I was in Charleston today for a quick business trip. After a working lunch I was tempted into a shop downtown by a very outgoing salesman. He said he was offering a free gift and ushered me inside while he chatted. I was then turned over to a smooth talking sales woman who was great at her job! I told her I was on a tight timeline and she just got better and better selling this product. I did have to leave and ended up purchasing the product in haste. After I arrived back to Greenville and began unpacking I noticed that the 2 cosmetic items she actually placed in the bag had no security or safety seals. The boxes did not even have the usual shrink wrap that ensures the product hasn’t been opened. I took out the products and they did not have any printed information on either cream. I panicked of course and pulled out the receipt and her business card. The name on the receipt did not match the business name on the card or the name of the business (they had large fancy “ROYAL JELLY” signs on the wall and glass windows facing the street. I was never given a receipt to sign so I had not noticed this. Not only that the receipt in the bag for $545 says GALLERY CANDLE, SC and there was NOT a single candle in the shop!! Her business card gave a website of WWW.GALLERY42SHOP.com and that name or site does NOT even exist. It does not even have a registered url. So next, I went to search the internet and social media. The Instagram (the scan code was a dud) listed on her business card is a fraud. It had 6 generic pictures, no address and no contact information. In fact, I have not been able to find any information that this company exists or has ever existed.

Please, please stop the charges from going through to these immoral scammers! I feel incredibly taken advantage of right now and I can provide pictures of the boxes, the product. Her so-called business card and the receipt. I would also like to make a police report. I realize that there is little they can do; but it is so important to stop other people from being taken advantage of. Especially on the main streets of Charleston. They are holding shop in one of your historic buildings and have no identifiable way of tracking them or hold them accountable.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!!
