Store lures people in with a soap sample. The girl says, "oh it's so hot, come inside and I'll wrap that soap up for you so it doesn't melt." Next thing you know, you're in the store surrounded by multiple people using aggressive sales tactics to sell you skincare products. Despite trying to leave multiple times, it felt impossible to get out as they just continued to want to put samples on - very hard to describe but a very violating experience. By the time they talked us into a purchase, my head was spinning and I just wanted out of there, whatever it took. Upon returning to the Airbnb, we began googling this product and business and found many other victims have had the same experience, right down to the soap sample. Furthermore, our research showed that these expensive products are nothing but snake oil - they don't do anything at all. I contacted the store through Facebook, and they gave me a customer service email. I contacted them via that email address and they told me to return the products and they would refund my card. I returned the two items via Fed Ex. It has been a week and I've sent them three emails - they have not responded, nor have they refunded my card. I have now opened a dispute with Amex, but because the store policy (stated on receipt) is no returns, it wouldn't surprise me if the dispute is denied. This makes me absolutely sick - not only the money, but also that I fell for their scam AND that they've ripped off so many other people for literally thousands of dollars. Something needs to be done about this business. What an awful black mark on Charleston.
