I saw an ad promoting a limited-time clearance sale at Gap Kids. When I clicked it, the site looked just like any regular large retail website with a range of children's clothes that looked pretty standard. The prices were certainly ridiculously low but I assumed that was because of the promoted clearance event. I made 2 orders, both on the same day (2/4/24), all of children's clothing, ranging in sizes from 3mos to 3T and for various times of the year. I received an email confirmation the same day - the sender appeared as Gap with an associated email address of [email protected]. The link at the top to "View My Order" routed to usgapsale.shop. Both confirmation emails accurately reflected the orders I had made and the shipping information I had entered. I was then emailed a confirmation (also on 02/04/2024) that the orders had shipped; these emails each contained a tracking number, listed the Carrier as China EMS, and provided the site https://track789.com/ for tracking the orders. I contacted the provided Customer Service email address on 03/25/2024 indicating that "The site is reflecting that the orders have been Delivered, but they have not. We have double checked with building management at our location to ensure the packages were not moved, held, or retrieved by another tenant." After a few back-and-forths, they advised "We have sent the package at the address you filled in when you placed your order. Maybe the logistics companies made a mistake, which led to the package not being delivered to you accurately, but our aim has always been to give customers a satisfactory shopping experience. In case of any problem, we will contact the logistics companies immediately. Since the delivery information shows that the package has been delivered, the logistics provider will not claim compensation for us. We paid the product cost and shipping fee in this process, and we also suffered a lot of losses, but we sincerely want to make up for your losses and provide the following solutions: If you still need to buy the product, you need to bear the shipping fee of $15, which will be deducted from your original order amount to the logistics company. You don't need to pay again, and the payment cannot be returned after your permission. However, your order needs to be recustomized. We have contacted the supplier, and the fastest delivery time will be 25 days later." I accepted, still did not receive anything. I contacted them again on 05/15/24, to which they replied "We have re-shipped the goods for you and provided the tracking number for your inquiry:https://www.track678.com/index/tracknumber*********** *************,The goods you purchased are shipped from other countries, so they need to go through multiple procedures such as shipping and security checks. These procedures may result in longer shipping times, we hope for your understanding and support." And most recently on 7/8/24, as I now receive only a "Cleared customs" indication on their alleged tracking site, and have been told: "We send packages at the address you fill in when you place your order. Maybe the logistics companies got it wrong. Since the shipping information shows that the package has been shipped, the logistics provider will not give us a claim, but we paid the product cost and freight. We have also suffered greatly in this transaction. In this case, we recommend giving you a 30% refund as compensation. you accept?"
