I became skeptical and contacted my friend directly and found out that the Instagram ID was not her, nor the email they later provided. The funding individual would not provide any proof of the government program, ie website, phone number, or documentation. Oh yes, they said it was not taxable and did not have to pay back. They only paid funding in cash.
I backed out and lost nothing; however, I almost lost a very good friend had I not reached out to them directly. Shame on me for falling for a get rich scam. Stay aware!
