[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

I got an email that said it was from McAffe and they were charging my card 700 for a renewal of a subscription I never purchased before. The email had a phone number so I called it. A man answered, he had an accent, either Indian or Middle Eastern, and it was very loud on his end. A lot of background noises, so I was initially feeling like it was weird. I told him I got an email about a recent purchase that I did not approve of. He asked my invoice number and then said in order to help me I had to be in front of my computer. I was not at home or near a computer, this made him angry. He kept saying they already charged my card (even though my bank app did not show any purchases on any of my accounts or cards), and that the only way for him to help me get a refund was if I had my computer so he could "walk me through it." This seemed weird to me. He kept demanding I go get to a computer and I finally lied and said I didn't have one. He then got even more upset and accused me of lying about not having a computer. I kept saying I didn't have one so we needed to figure out another way to refund me. He finally got frustrated and said fine he will refund me without me needing to fill out all these "forms" he previously talked about. He then wanted to know my age and my instagram account. I asked why do you need my instagram account? and he laughed and hung up.
