Have a current job offer from these [censored]. Their “equipment check” hasn’t shown up yet. I will not deposit it obviously. What am I supposed to do with the check when it does come? Do I give it to the bank and tell them or give to police?

Gasum OY employment offer - fraud

Texted me posing as hiring manager offering employment. Emailed offer letter and W4 tax form from [email protected] then I sent the form with drivers license for employment. next they emailed e-check for supplies to be deposited. I asked for verification but they were unable to prove they were Gasum OY so I ended the connection.

This company fraud start to Microsoft teams. Company sent fake job letter and w-4 then he/she said about the instrument. She sent fake check by email when I deposited by mobile that time showed balance in the bank account within this period she took money via zille transferred. I lost $4500. So be carefully. I take legal action for this one. Bank manager also help me for this scam.I gave time for return money back to zille.

I was asked to deposit a check to purchase equipment, I was told because they are in Finland, the check would come from someone in the USA. I deposited the check and was asked to make Zelle disbursements to one person. There was a stop payment on the check. The person the check came from finally emailed me back and said he needs receipts on what I spent. I emailed him and explained what happened. He sent another email stating I should send him receipts. I emailed back that the gentleman that I was working for hadn't gotten me any receipts yet. l've been leaving messages all day with the gentleman I was working with and he hasn't gotten back to me. I don't what to do all the money I had in the account was a little over $2000 and now the bank took it away, The check was for $4976.

Hmmm, this is similar to what I got as well, I am emailing the companies costumer serice atm before doing any of the said paper work cus it all seems sketchy
