I have also been contacted winners never asked to send money it be deducted prior to winning and can't win in a lottery you never played

I received a mailing from Gateway International Lottery. Mailings states I won $500,000. Enclosed in the mailing was an $8000 check. States do not act on the mailing until I speak with a claims agent. Kane Albert. I did not call the phone number 604-360-5723. I was not certain it was a fake check. Checking with the ScamPulse.com first.

My mother received a mailing from Gateway International Lottery. Mailing showed an additional address of UK Office 7901 W Hughes St. London England. U S Office 55518 4th St. NY NY 10033. States she won $495,000. $8000 for taxes. Received a check for $8000. Enclosed is a form to fill out and return. She did not return the form. She was going to take the check to the bank. I will let her know the check is fake.

The letter said, "Congratulations we're pleased to inform you that you're one of the winners in the second category of the International general''

market survey draw held on June 12, 2017. Therefore you're entitled to the sum of $500,000.00 payable to you by CERTIFIED CHECK, and

will be delivered by our special courier company.

.Enclosed is a check in the amount of $8,965.90 which has been deducted from your winnings. The purpose of this check s to enable you to

pay for the tax, insurance,shipping and handling on your winnings. NOTE: THE BALANCE OF YOUR PRIZE WINNING IS $491,034,10.

You're advised to call your claims' agent: Kane Albert @1-604-360-5723.
