I was given a job interview through the app called “slack” and asked to download it for the interview. The interview was text only and they had me register through id.me and then send me to a website to verify it. I gave them my drivers license, social security, W-2, address. I feel so stupid! The next day I got an email from [email protected] asking for me to give them my direct deposit info and that’s when I stopped and requested to speak to them directly. They offered a “too good to be true” offer and I fell for it. I froze my credit, and got a SS ping. I have no idea what they have access to.
