First of all, let me thank you for taking time and completing Employment Application.
I'm writing this email to let you know, that your job application was preapproved, which means that you fit the position and we are looking forward hiring you as a Quality Controller of GDS International.
Let me ask you if you've checked the job description, information about the company and services on our website?
Hope, you got the idea. I also would like to give you more detailed information about the company, business environment and regarding Quality Controller position as well.
GDS International provides shopping and shipping services mostly for customers from overseas, like Latin America, Asia and Europe.
When people outside of the US are trying to order products online in the US, they usually are experiencing issues, because a lot of major stores do not accept international credit cards or do not offer international shipping option. That’s where GDS International steps in. We can purchase products and services on the customer’s behalf and we can ship worldwide.
As a Quality Controller you need to receive customer's orders which will be delivered to your home address by UPS, FedEX or USPS. The orders will be coming from well known stores like Amazon, BestBuy, Walmart, Zappos and many others.
Usually people order apparel, accessories, home and kitchen appliances, electronics, basically whatever they can get cheaper in the US than in their countries.
You need to check all the items against the invoices, check them for any kind of damages, make pictures, make copies of paperwork, report the packages, get them prepared for shipment and then ship them mostly to our hubs from where we do ship internationally by sea and by air. Rush orders may be shipped internationally by you directly to the customer. You must have a good time management skills as the company has very strict deadlines.
The company pays for the shipment and covers all the processing costs. We will provide you with electronic copies of the shipping labels, which have every piece of information there and are fully pre-paid by the company.
All you have to do is to download shipping label, print it out using a regular printer, stick it to the box and bring the box to the closest USPS office or UPS Store depending on what type of shipping label is provided.
Since the shipping labels are provided and shipping supplies (Boxes and tapes) are provided as well, there will be no expenses for you to perform this job. I would say except for gas, if you need to drive to a postal office.
You expect to receive about 30 to 40 packages per month. This job requires around a couple of hours per day to receive the packages, check everything, report, prepare it for shipment and ship the packages off.
As you know, some of packages are dropped at your front door by driver, but some requires signature. Just make sure that someone is available at home to sign for the packages in person, when delivered, because you don't want to miss them.
The salary is 2500 per month. It's fixed. Paid on a monthly basis, which means you receive your paycheck every single month. It is delivered by a direct deposit to your bank account, US Paper Mail Check or to your PayPal account.
As soon as you officially join GDS International, the accounting department will get in touch with you to request this information from you to add you to the payroll. This will happen on the 4th week of your performance, right before issuing the payroll.
