After he has all your information he then asks about smoke detectors and if they work, then says he can put in sensors on your house doors and will provide an alert button to wear to call 911. He says it won't cost anything because he is going to lower your tv bills and insurance bills. Then he says all you have to do is pay 49.99 per month for 60 months and keep the smoke detectors in working condition.
I say xxx, why didn't you tell me you were selling this (stuff) first and the salesman says but it won't cost anything because he's going to lower the directv bill and insurance. I told him to get out and scratched out my info from his form that he wouldn't give back because the the back had info on some other sucker.
His brochure had ScamPulse.com approved on it. When I called them they had no info on them at all. They were very deceptive and I had to help a neighbor get out of her 60 month deal with them by chasing them down and calling the police. Finally the guy gave me back her check and the installer who came out later said he would negate the contract. It helped the police showed up at this time. Police advice is get a ''No Solicitors" sign for both of us. I think I will. This salesman had our names somehow and was very good at getting through the door and getting names and info while we thought we were getting some type of county help to lower our power bills. I'm very good at not letting this happen but even I fell for it til he mentioned the security system and cost finally. But my poor elderly neighbor thought the guy was trying to help her out and it would be free. She even gave him a check and authorized monthly payments for five years before he left, still thinking it would be free in the end.
