My Mother received the following email (see following) and asked me about it. Had done research on Geek Squad company as contacted Best Buy a couple months again about phone scam mentioning refunding of monies- they said they don't call individuals so an email like this would likely be fake as well. Poor grammar and unprofessional communication tone/email structure along with the gmail account really made this feel like a scam. Ignored it and immediately called our credit card company to verify nothing had been charged yet. As of today, nothing has been charged. Was advised to contact Credit card company in a couple days to double check. We were also asked if email contained our actual CC account number which it did not- helpful credit card employee said you would likely see this information in official type emails.
