I got an email today from the Geek Squad. This service is usually associated with Best Buy, but this email did not come from that company. It said that I was being charged $349.99 for a one year renewal subscription to this service. I have never subscribed to this service. Suspicious items: the customer service number began with the prefix "820". Then I noticed that the e-mail associated with this message came from [email protected]. I called the number and told the man who answered I knew this was a scam and would be reporting it.

I will be watching my credit card accounts to be sure he does not have this information.

Best Buy should be made aware of this scam using their tech support service.
