- Columbus, OH, USA

I'm 68 yrs old, on ss disability. My computer was hacked on 12.22.17. I inquired about placing an obit in the Columbus Dispatch. She sent me an email to fill out the forms. I got the email, and when i Opened it, my screen went pink and a voice said, "DO Not Turn Your computer Off, please call Windows Tech Support" I called, and spoke to a woman, Alicia, with a heavy East Indian accent. She called from a boiler room, lots of other voices in the room. She said I must sign up for a lifetime tech support service for over $800. She said that is the only way you are going to get your computer fixed. I said to put it on my credit card. She said no, I had to give her my check routing number. which I did. They worked on it for 3 hours. Then a man with a heavy Indian accent called to tell me everything was fixed. I called the girl at the Dispatch and asked her to check her emails for malware. She said I'd been hacked. I went to the bank, and withdrew all my funds. Then I began getting phone n messages and emails from them. They have several names: Win security Systems, Geeks Advice, Tech Support, Win Tech Support. I've taken my computer to the Laptop Guy in Grandview. I completed a Domestic Collections Fraud packet at my bank, Fifth Third. The phone number 8558591700 appears on the receipt I got after they did the work. 8008398570 appears on the check they cashed. 8447766473 appears on the emails.
