Our company (in Maine) received a telephone solicitation back in 2012 from GeneralYellowPages.com/emmgi.net to renew an online listing which we had no prior knowledge of. They began sending email invoices of $599.95 for 1yr listing. We immediately emailed, called, and faxed to dispute the charges. We asked for confirmation of the original contract, copy of oral recording of telephone confirmation, etc. They never responded, but continued to send email invoices monthly, adding on late fees. Then the invoices stopped for months at a time, and periodically we would receive another, with accrued late fees. We gave up on trying to contact them and ignored the invoices. On 6/19/2015 we received a written notice by mail from NCSPlus Incorporated claiming to represent GeneralYellowPages.com as their authorized collection agency and that we now owe them $4413!! It was a form letter requesting payment within 30 days or written notice of dispute of this claim. This communication was not a first class letter as would be expected if legitimate debt collection for $4413! On 7/13/15 we received a robocall from NCSPlus Incorporated requesting collection of the outstanding debt. I understand Robocalls for collections are illegal! Creditor listed is GeneralYellowPages.com, PO Box 4668 #52516, New York, NY 10163. (877) 867-3224 We believe this creditor company and NCSPLus to be fraudulent and request your assistance to put a stop to their attempt to collect a debt from us that was never authorized! An initial billing of $599.95 has now increased to $4413! Please help us stop this scam! We definitely will not pay them a penny, but also do not want our business credit history affected. Thank you!
