I was reached out via email for a job as a social media manager for Genflow. Email Genflow.career.online. Name Henry Patterson. Then he set up an interview appointment with Virginia Aiden. I was instructed to download an app called "wire" where a 30 min. text interview was conducted on a Saturday. On Tuesday, I received a call Henry Patterson congratulating me, I got the job! He informed me an email with paperwork to fill out. He asked for driver's license/passport, banking information, and address. I gave everything but the banking because at this point, I was still unsure and we were still double-checking if it was a scam. I told them that I was in the middle of changing banks so I can't provide that information. The next day, I was sent to wire again to do on boarding with a person named Jake Hull. None of these people I could find on LinkedIn or anywhere. I figure the onboarding would be finally conducted through a video call. Jake typed the following "The organization will be providing a check for the purchase of your device(MacBook) and $500 for your home office setup. Can you initiate a mobile check deposit when this check is sent to you?" I told them again that I can't because I am changing banks. Jake asked for more information such as my birth date, emergency contact information, name, address, home phone, spouse name and employer. I asked him can we video call? While waiting, I stumble upon this website and found a very similar situation I have now from another person with the same phone number but with a different name and different company
