Computer seemed to be infected with 'Adobe Flash Update' virus. Various messages, pop-ups, strange behaviors on my computer followed. Today I was contacted by this group who claimed to be licensed by Apple to do scan and tech support to fix the problem. They then got on to my computer and 'fixed' my problem (?). They saw (correctly) that my extended warranty had expired, and offered me their 1 year 'care package for $229.00 plus tax. They asked to be paid by e-check after the work was done. I was very unsure, but I did pay them. I checked their website, which was incomplete and dubious. I just stopped payment on the check (hopefully), and will vista my bank in the morning. Meanwhile, I have no idea what else they may have accessed, so I'll call my credit card companies to put alerts on my accounts.
