So, i didnt do it right away, this woman lauren which claimed to be the coach, continued to contact me after a few days asking if i wanted to pursue it. I was going back and forth about doing it, but finally after he convincing me she was legitimate, we tried it. We sent to the website that she gave us which is www.geocointrust.com and what we thought was investing $500, she began explaning step by step on what steps to take. I have over 50 screenshots of our entire conversation saved, as well as the conversations between the other people who claimed she was real as well as the original girl who i thought was my friend who got me into this mess. This woman lauren told me that within 5 hours i would recieve my 10,000$, after about 10-12 hours went by, i went on the website and saw that i made 11,384.00. At this point, i got an email from "support" [email protected] telling me that my account was on hold and i needed to upgrade it in order for my funds to be released. I asked "lauren" why this was happening, she seemed confused and said she would look into it, she then explained that because i made over 10,000 that i had to upgrade my account, and said normally i dont have to upgrade until the second investment, but because i made over 10,000 i had to. She gave 4 options to upgrade the
silver account cost 1,200
gold account cost 1,800
diamond account cost 2,500
and ruby account cost 3,000.
She explained that its best to get the diamond account because we would be able to withdaw up to 5 times a week etc and there was different priveledges and "benefits" for each membership and that the diamond account was the best option. My husband and i, after much concern and thought finally decided to pay for the diamond membership. I even contacted the people i reached out to, in the beginning and asked if this was normal because i wasnt informed of this beforehand. They all agreed and said it was.
So, now at this point we have put in a total of 3,000. "Lauren" said that as soon as we make the payment the money would be in our account within 5 hours, and she said quote "You'll have your money before you wake up in the morning" I had given my banking information to another account for this to be depoisted into because i was still nervous about this whole thing and was trying to be as cautious as possible. Thank goodness i did.
The next morning comes, and theres no money in the account. I checked my email and and i noticed i got another email saying that the depoist was on hold because i needed to pay once again 11.5% of the earnings and once that was done, the money would be released into my account. I contacted her again, and was very upset, saying that this was not explained to me and we didnt have another over 2,000 to give. She kept on trying to convince me that everything was fine, and i wasnt allowed to have the money deducted from my total profit and it had to come out of pocket. After this, i stopped responding, she kept messaging, as well as the other people on her page started contacting me saying "have you gotten your money yet?" very suspicious since i dont even know these people so why would they care? I believe that all of these people are the same person. And this "friend of mine Alexandra *****" was the mastermind to this whole scam. After everything, my husband did some googling searching and was able to find a few articles and forums on the www.geocointrust.com website with the exact same situation that we dealt with almost to a T.
